The Sztuka Fabryka (polish: Art Factory) is the pseudonym and project name of the Belgian artist, Geert De Deckert. The name - after the legends - was born, when he visited his family members who were living in Poland. Geert is working under this name since 1991 and organizes constantly festivals and exhibitions. Since 2009 from the Spanish Asturias. In 2005 I was together with Henning Mittendorf leader of a workshop for stamp carving on the Independent Festival in Sint-Niklaas. The central theme of the festival was street-art. Geert was already an expert in this; he asked already in the yesteryear for stencils from artists, that he used for all free surfaces of the city of the festival. I also made my (till now) one and only stencil for this project. We have taught students in the same room with some street artists, who shown how to make a stencil art. Beside of the works of this guys my passion for stamp carving seems to me as a hobby for old-aged pensioner. I have learned very much in this 2 days about the movement, ideology and lifestyle of the street artists. The performances, installations and the walls they made on the festival's area were the images of the 21st century.

Lengyelül a Sztuka Fabryka Művészetgyárat jelent, valójában a belga Geert De Decker fedőneve és művészeti szervezete. Az elnevezés lengyel rokonai meglátogatásakor pattant ki a fejéből. Ezen a néven 1991 óta dolgozik és organizál fesztiválokat, kiállításokat, 2009-óta a spanyol Asturiából. 2005-ben engem is meghívott Independent fesztiváljára Sint-Niklaasba. Az egyik központi téma a street art volt. Geert már az ezt megelőző dzsemborin is nagyon benne volt ebben; mindenkitől stencileket kért, s ezek alapján telefújtak festékszóróval minden szóba jöhető szabad felületét. Akkor készítettem én is életem első (és eddig egyetlen) stencil formáját. A 2005-ös fesztiválon két workshop volt művészeti iskolásoknak; az egyik stenciltervezést és -készítést tanított, a másik pecsétmetszést. Geert ez utóbbira Henning Mittendorfot és engem kért fel. Egy légtérben voltunk, a résztvevők egy óra után cseréltek témát. A stenciles fiúk szenzációsan kreatív energiája mellett hirtelen nagyon öregesnek tűnt a pecsétmetszés, amit akkoriban odaadóan szerettem csinálni. Rengeteget tanultam akkor a streetartisták látásmódjáról, világnézetéről, életformájáról. A falak, amelyeket a termekben berendeztek, a képek, amelyeket a külső terekre fújtak, lélegzetelállítóan tükrözték a XXI. századot.
