< Eiichi Matsuhashi, Japan


Eiichi Matsuhashi from Tokyo is one of my oldest mail-art connection. The Hommage á Bartók exhibition - curated by Joseph Kadar - was the first bigger mail-art exhibition I took part on. It was a touring exhibition in 1995 through Szentendre (Hungary), Berlin, Paris. I found in the catalog the addresses of Luc Fierens, Gyula Máté and Eiichi; they were my first contacts to the mail-art network. I participated with works also several times on the mail art events of Eiichi´s Street Museum of Tokyo. Matsuhashi is a rarely participant in my magazines, but we change post at least once a year.

A tokiói Eiichi Matsuhashi a legrégebbi mail art kapcsolatom. Az első nagyobb szabású mail art kiállítás, amelyen részt vettem, a Joseph Kadar rendezte Hommage a Bartók volt. Szentendrén, Berlinben és Párizsban volt látható, 1995-ben. A tárlat katalógusából munkáik alapján a belga Luc Fierens, a bonyhádi Máté Gyula és a japán Eiichi Matsuhashi nevét választottam ki. Rajtuk keresztül kerültem a hálózatba. Eiichi tokiói Street Museumának akcióin az én munkáim is szerepeltek. A 22-ben ritkán vett részt, de évente egyszer még mindig postát váltunk.
